README

Syncfusion.Maui.A2UI

This package contains a .NET MAUI renderer for the A2UI protocol. It renders A2UI component trees as .NET MAUI views and provides built-in A2UI components along with Syncfusion .NET MAUI control implementations.

The protocol engine, including message processing, state, data binding, catalog validation, and reactivity, is provided by Syncfusion.A2UI.Core and is included as a package dependency.

Using this package with an AI coding agent

Before generating Syncfusion code, ask your AI coding agent to run the Syncfusion setup using the following prompt:

Set up this project for Syncfusion before generating code. Fetch and follow the official instructions at https://ai.syncfusion.com, then report the detected platform, installed skill pack, MCP status, and any required licensing action.

The setup detects your project's platform and loads the appropriate Syncfusion skill pack. No Syncfusion account or MCP key is required to install or read Syncfusion agent skills.

Install

dotnet add package Syncfusion.Maui.A2UI

Or add the package to your .csproj:

<ItemGroup>
	<PackageReference Include="Syncfusion.Maui.A2UI" Version="*" />
</ItemGroup>

Built-in A2UI components

The package includes built-in A2UI components for text, images, icons, video, audio, rows, columns, lists, cards, tabs, modals, buttons, text fields, check boxes, choice pickers, sliders, date-time inputs, and dividers. These components are rendered as .NET MAUI controls and support the A2UI protocol through the integrated Syncfusion.A2UI.Core engine.

Supported Syncfusion controls

The following Syncfusion .NET MAUI controls are registered in the A2UI catalog. The component names below are the names used in A2UI messages.

Rendering architecture

The MAUI renderer processes A2UI messages through SurfaceHost, resolves the component tree, and creates MAUI views:

The renderer supports reactive surface updates, data binding, client-action dispatch, markdown text rendering, custom catalog IDs, and custom markdown renderers.
