README
uno.roslyn.adhoc.host
The headless build engine and the workspace material it compiles against, paired in one package.
You do not need to install or reference this package. The uno.studio
CLI resolves it automatically, at its own version, when it builds a preview.
Why it exists
A preview build has to produce what Uno Studio expects to open. That means the compiler and the reference material it compiles against have to be paired — never "the latest of each" — because the pairing is what makes a produced package loadable at all. Shipping them as one package, versioned by the same release that publishes the Studio deployment which will open the result, makes that pairing a property rather than a convention.
It also means a preview build needs no container runtime: the CLI is a .NET tool, so the runtime and the NuGet machinery are already present wherever it runs.
What it contains
- The headless build engine — the same components Uno Studio's own in-app build uses, reached directly instead of through a queue.
- The packaged workspace material for the browser surface, stamped with the compatibility key a reader checks before downloading a package.
Versioning
Published from the same pipeline run as uno.studio, with the same version. Published versions are
immutable and stay resolvable, because a preview link outlives the release that produced it.

Adoption Assessment
A verified publisher signal is available. Assess fit from the package's supported frameworks, license and dependency graph rather than popularity alone.
