Installation

dotnet add package Unfucked.OBS
using Unfucked.OBS;

Usage

  • Interface for Open Broadcaster Software Studio WebSocket API client to decouple contract from implementation.
    IObsClient client = new ObsClient();

  • Easily connect and authenticate to servers without all the boilerplate.
    IObsClientFactory factory = new ObsClientFactory();
    using IObsClient? obs = await factory.Connect(obsHost: new Uri("ws://localhost:4455/"), password: "123");

    bool isBroadcasting = obs is not null ? (await obs.GetStreamStatus()).OutputActive : false;

  • Mock instances allow tests to run without a real OBS server.
    // FakeItEasy
    IObsClientFactory mockFactory = A.Fake<IObsClientFactory>();
    IObsClient mockClient = A.Fake<IObsClient>();
    A.CallTo(() => mockFactory.Connect(A<Uri>._, A<string>._, A<CancellationToken>._)).Returns(mockClient);

    A.CallTo(() => mockClient.GetStreamStatus()).Returns(new OutputStatusResponse {
        outputActive: false,
        outputReconnecting: false,
        outputTimecode: string.Empty,
        outputDuration: 0,
        outputCongestion: 0.0f,
        outputBytes: 0,
        outputSkippedFrames: 0,
        outputTotalFrames: 0
    });
