README

Glutinum.Node

Fable bindings for the Node.js APIs, generated by Glutinum from @types/node.

The bindings live in the Glutinum.Node module, one submodule per Node module. The functions of a module are static members of its Exports type, gathered in Glutinum.Node.Exports for the whole runtime.

open Glutinum
open Glutinum.Node.Exports

let file = path.join ("demo-output", "hello.txt")

fs.writeFileSync (file, "Hello from Fable")
let content = fs.readFileSync (file, Node.BufferEncoding.utf8)

let server =
    Node.http.Exports.createServer<obj, obj> (
        Node.http.RequestListener<obj, obj>(fun _ res ->
            let res = unbox<Node.http.ServerResponse> res
            res.``end`` ("pong", Node.BufferEncoding.utf8) |> ignore
        )
    )

The package depends on Glutinum.Web for the web APIs Node shares with the browser (fetch, streams, TextDecoder).

A binding generated by Glutinum for a package using the Node types references this package: add it next to the binding.

The file Glutinum.Node.fs is generated by ./build.sh bindings in the repository, do not edit it.
