Microsoft Diagnostic Services site extension
This Azure App Service site extension enables Microsoft Diagnostic Services for .NET web apps:
- Application Insights Profiler — captures distributed traces and CPU/latency hot paths in production.
- Snapshot Debugger — collects debug snapshots when exceptions occur, with call stack and variable values.
Install
Install it from the Site Extensions tab in the App Service SCM site
(https://<your-site>.scm.azurewebsites.net/siteextensions), then restart the app.
Profiler and Snapshot Debugger are configured from the Application Insights blade of your App Service in the Azure portal.
