README

DevExpress Icon Library for Blazor

Install this icon library together with DevExpress.Blazor controls. Use built-in icon management APIs to assign glyphs to DevExpress Blazor components and their elements. Icons can automatically adapt to the currently applied application theme and size mode. All DevExpress controls in your application remain visually consistent regardless of the current render style.

The DevExpress icon library is available as a Community Technology Preview (CTP) in the v26.1 release cycle.

Key Features

  • Extensive icon collection
    The library contains over 13,000 icons (can address the needs of most business applications).
  • Sprite-based delivery
    Icons are grouped into sprites by set, style, size, and color. Applications request sprite files on demand (when you use an icon).
  • Blazor component integration
    Assign DevExpress Icon Library icons to Blazor components that support IconUrl properties.
  • Adaptive icons
    Specify icons using their adaptive identifiers (icon names), and the framework automatically selects the appropriate icon version based on the current theme and UI settings.
  • Static icons
    Specify icons using full identifiers (including theme set, style, color, and size) when you need full control over icons.
  • Icon Explorer demo
    Browse icons by name or tag, filter icons by attributes, view icon details, and copy API identifiers for use in your code.

Examples

Install the DevExpress.Images.Blazor NuGet package:

dotnet add package DevExpress.Images.Blazor

Register the namespace in your Blazor application:

@using DevExpress.Images.Blazor

Example 1: Assign an Adaptive Icon

@using DevExpress.Blazor
@using DevExpress.Images.Blazor

<DxButton RenderStyle="@ButtonRenderStyle.Primary"
          Text="Save"
          IconUrl="@Icon.Save" />

Example 2: Assign a Static Icon

@using DevExpress.Blazor
@using DevExpress.Images.Blazor

<DxButton RenderStyle="@ButtonRenderStyle.Secondary"
          Text="Undo"
          IconUrl="@IconStatic.ArrowUndo.Fluent.Filled.Monochrome.Size16" />
