README

DevExpress Native Blazor Report Viewer

Use the DevExpress Blazor Report Viewer to display DevExpress Reports in Blazor Server, Blazor WebAssembly, and .NET MAUI Blazor Hybrid applications. The Report Viewer allows users to specify report parameters, navigate multi-page documents, print, and export resulting documents.

Key Features

  • Built with Blazor components — native support for Blazor component lifecycle and dependency injection.
  • Supports Blazor Server, Blazor WebAssembly, and .NET MAUI Blazor Hybrid.
  • Full-text search across report content.
  • Interactive parameter panel — users can adjust report parameters.
  • Zoom in or out and fit the document to the available width.
  • Export reports to PDF, XLSX, DOCX, CSV, HTML, RTF, MHT, and Image formats with specified options.
  • Print from the browser.
  • Customizable toolbar, tab panel, and parameter editors — tailor the viewer to your needs.

Examples

Example 1: Add a Blazor Report Viewer to a Blazor Web App

  1. Install the following package:

    dotnet add package DevExpress.Blazor.Reporting.Viewer

  2. Register DevExpress Resources.

  3. Add a Razor page. Include a DxReportViewer component and bind it to a report instance:

    @page "/Viewer"
    @rendermode InteractiveServer

    @using DevExpress.Blazor.Reporting

    <h3>Report Viewer</h3>

    <DxReportViewer @ref="reportViewer" Report="Report">
    </DxReportViewer>

    @code {
        DxReportViewer? reportViewer;
        XtraReport Report = new TestReport();

    }

Example 2: Hide Export Formats from ‘Export To’ Drop-Down List

The following code sample hides all export formats except PDF and Image:

@using DevExpress.Blazor.Reporting
@using DevExpress.XtraReports.UI
@using BlazorCustomization.PredefinedReports
@using DevExpress.Blazor.Reporting.Models

<div @ref="viewerComponent" style="width: 100%; height: 1000px;">
    <DxReportViewer @ref="reportViewer"
                    Report="Report" />
</div>

@code {
    DxReportViewer? reportViewer;
    XtraReport Report = new TableReport();
    private ElementReference viewerComponent;
    string[] formats = new string[] { "Pdf", "Image" };

    protected override void OnAfterRender(bool firstRender) {
        if (firstRender) {
            reportViewer.ExportModel.AvailableFormats
            .RemoveAll(item => !formats.Contains(item.Name));
        }
    }
}
