.NET Aspire Integration for DevExpress ASP.NET Core Reports
This package connects DevExpress ASP.NET Core Reports back-end services to .NET Aspire. Call AddAspNetCoreReporting() to share trace and metrics data with the .NET Aspire Dashboard and monitor the performance of DevExpress Reports in your JavaScript-based reporting apps (including Blazor). You can track metrics, review traces, and access structured logs for document creation and export operations in real time.
Key Features
- Shares trace and metrics data from DevExpress ASP.NET Core Reporting backend services with the .NET Aspire Dashboard.
- Monitors Web Document Viewer and Report Designer performance in real time and provides metrics, traces, and structured logs for document creation and export operations.
- Builds on OpenTelemetry metrics and tracing enabled through the .NET Aspire service defaults.
- Lets you disable metrics or tracing with the
AspNetCoreReportingSettingsoptions (DisableMetrics,DisableTracing). - Works alongside
DevExpress.Aspire.Reporting, which shares trace data from the core report document creation and export engine.
Example: Activate .NET Aspire Monitoring
In your reporting project's Program.cs, enable .NET Aspire integration after the AddDevExpressControls() call:
var builder = WebApplication.CreateBuilder(args);
builder.Services.AddDevExpressControls();
// Enable service discovery and configure OpenTelemetry metrics and tracing for .NET Aspire.
builder.AddServiceDefaults();
// Share trace data with the .NET Aspire Dashboard from report document creation and exporting.
builder.AddReporting();
// Share trace and metrics data with the .NET Aspire Dashboard for the Reports back-end services.
builder.AddAspNetCoreReporting();
